Jack W. Lenox, MD

Dr. Lenox has been in practice in Rockford since 1986 and since 2004 has limited his practice to gynecology. A graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Dr. Lenox received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Lenox is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lenox is on staff at Swedish American Hospital, OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, and Rockford Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and has been involved in student education since 1987.

Professional interests include performing minimally invasive gynecological surgery and providing a full range of gynecological procedures with a focus on finding the right treatment option for each person. Personal interests include any outdoor activities but particularly golf and fly fishing. He and his wife, Christine, enjoy traveling and visiting their three children.

Peggy W. Shiels, MD

Primary care, the foundation of U.S. health care, is now a service Lenox Healthcare for Women is excited to offer all our patients. Complementing our unique “home for comprehensive medical care” approach to women’s healthcare needs in the Rockford area, Dr. Shiels is committed to being an equal partner with patients in identifying good treatment options and healthy lifestyle choices.

A Board Certified Internist, Dr. Shiels brings to our practice a solid background in community-based disease management and prevention. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and went on to complete her residency training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in Saint Louis.

Dr. Shiels spent eight years caring for patients in the Rockford community. She now looks forward to delivering comprehensive and continuous patient services as a primary care provider for such conditions as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and heart disease and more.

In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Shiels is a wife and mother of three children.
